Nickel plated copper wire:
This is the central piece of your antenna, the wire must be as
straight as possible.
- Height from the body (each side): 18.8 cm.
- Total length: 20.05 cm (18.8 cm external and 1.25 cm in the body).
- Outside width (top of the antenna): 2.9 cm.
- Internal width (top of the antenna): 2.3 cm.
- Diameter: 0.3 cm.
Plastic rule:
The rule is transparent, but this does not have great importance.
- Height from the body: 16.6 cm.
- Width: 1.4 cm.
- The zero of the rule is at the top.
The body in bakelite:
The body can be made of wood, plastic ...
Caution: Don't forget the lecher wire gets into the body of 1.25 cm.
- Total height: 3.3 cm.
- width: 6.3 cm.
- depth: 1.5 cm.
- height of the lateral edges: 2.0 cm.
Cursor :
The cursor is used to make short circuit. It is important that it makes
contact between both sides of the
Lecher wire.
It is therefore made of conducting material and can move (by dragging) on the Lecher wire.
Branches :
The branches are made of conducting metal (surely nickel plated copper).
Branches are hollow (as a pipe), they are not exactly the same, one is more hollow that the other.
They get inside the bakelite body for 1.5 cm, in theory they
must not make contact with the lecher wire.
- Length: 12.5 cm.
- Diameter: 0.5 cm.
- Angle insertion of the rule to the branch): between 101° and 106°.
